Fremont Bank founded in 1964, one of the oldest independently owned and managed banks in the Bay Area. Voted one of the Top Workplaces 2014 has an immediate opening for a Director, IT Infrastructure located in Hayward, CA.

The Director, IT Infrastructure will report to the head of Information Technology, managing the technology team that oversees all technology infrastructure at Fremont Bank.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • System Administration
  • Network Administration
  • Email system administration
  • System, network, email, and phone services architecture and system design
  • Network and Security Monitoring Data center / server room management
  • Remote locations and co-located Data Centers
  • Telecom and phone system management, including IVRs, call center systems, fax services, and other communication services
  • Server Management, configuration, and maintenance
  • Storage Management
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Vendor management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computers Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or appropriate related experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years appropriate hands-on technology and management experience
  • Working knowledge of technologies such as:
  • SAN Storage, particularly Netapp;
  • Server and desktop virtualization, particularly with VMware, including SRM;
  • Knowledge of products such as Citrix VDI, NetScaler;
  • Server environments based on Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, etc.)
  • Aspect and Cisco phone systems, IVRs, call center telephony;
  • Networking focused on the use of Cisco and F5 technologies;
  • Information Security and financial industry regulatory compliance
  • Direction of strategy and coordination of resources across complex organizations and technologies
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to comfortably interact with staff, peers, and senior management
  • Expertise in development and delivery of training material
  • Build constructive business relationships, resolve conflict and suggest appropriate solutions
  • Must possess excellent organizational, writing, customer service, and time management skills
  • Must be able to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Analytical thinking ability, diplomacy, and professionalism are required
  • Excellent management skills—principles and people, as well as knowledge and ability to motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth
  • Knowledge of banking and financial requirements and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of information security practices, regulations, policy, and technology best practices
  • Ability to write policies and audit responses as required
